Our Story
To us, Blue Ridge BBQ and Catering is more than just a restaurant; it’s a labor of love born from a friendship that started in 1984. Our story began in 2010 when we purchased a little red concession trailer and named it “Blue Ridge BBQ Shack,” where we started smoking meats and sharing our passion with the community. As word of our mouth-watering barbeque spread, so did the requests for catering. Soon we were catering weddings and other events weekly out of the little red BBQ Shack on wheels. More help was needed, so we contacted our friend John “OB” O’Brien and asked him to join in.
As the business grew, so did the need for more space. Blue Ridge BBQ and Catering was incorporated in 2017, and in November of that year, we opened the doors to our brick-and-mortar restaurant on Timberlake Rd. Now we are proud to share homemade barbeque and classic comfort food with you in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. With over 40 years of friendship and a combined lifetime in the restaurant business, we bring a genuine love for food and hospitality to every plate – whether it’s at our place or yours.
